The Equianos sites are spread from Ny-Alesund, Spitzbergen in the North to Halley, Antarctica in the South giving latitudanal coverage from 79°N to 75°S. With five stations encompassing the South Atlantic Rim, it gives excellent positioning for studying tropical air circulation in the Southern hemisphere.
Links to each of the localities used for sampling methane and carbon dioxide as part of the Equianos Network are available on the drop down menu from “stations” on the menu below the header. Each link will give information on location, sample frequency, data types and availability, along with any other useful site information.
A general overview of all the FMI sites (including those not specialising in greenhouse gas emissions) can be found here: http://en.ilmatieteenlaitos.fi/ghg-measurement-stations
