The continuous greenhouse gas sampling at Jersey is now up and running since early May 2013. The measurements are made using a Los Gatos Research Greenhouse Gas Analyser with weekly calibrations from 3 reference gases. The analyser is recording averaged 5 second data from measurements every second for methane and carbon dioxide.
The instrument is run by the RHUL team with on site assistance from the Jersey meteorological office. The inlet is sited at a height of approximately 20 m on a met-office radar tower on the south-west corner of the island ( 49.177°N, 2.224°W)
