Ascension Island

Located at: 7°58’9.09″S, 14°23’40.66″W. It is one of very few continuous tropical CH4 and CO2 measurements in the Tropical Atlantic with measurements overseen by the UK meteorlogical office staff based in Ascension Island.

Measurement Method: Cavity Ringdown Spectrometer (Picarro 1301 CH4 and CO2 and H2O analyser)

Data Output: Measurements every 5 seconds, averaged to produce minute / daily and monthly averages.
